Clear & Bright Herbal Tea
Clear & Bright Herbal Tea — a gentle blend traditionally used to soothe irritated eyes and ease seasonal discomfort.
Cedar fever is no joke in Central Texas right now — and if you’re feeling it, you’re definitely not alone. Common symptoms this season include:
• itchy or watery eyes
• sinus pressure
• sneezing
• runny or stuffy nose
• headaches
• fatigue
• a “foggy, heavy” feeling
All month long, we’ll be sharing simple TCM‑inspired recipes to help support the different symptoms you might be experiencing.
Clear & Bright Herbal Tea
INGREDIENTS
Chrysanthemum flowers – 8g
Mint – 3g (fresh or dried)
Mulberry leaves – 5g (optional but recommended)
INSTRUCTIONS
Add all herbs to a mug or small teapot.
Pour hot water over the blend and let it steep for 5–7 minutes.
Before drinking, gently lean over the cup and allow the steam to soothe the eyes and sinuses.
Strain and sip warm.
Optional: you can soak a cotton round in the tea (after cooled down) and place them over your closed eyes afterward as a light, cooling “eye mask.”
