Halloween Hummus Dip
👻🎃 —festive, nourishing, and perfect for parties.
Gearing up for spooky parties? This Halloween Hummus Dip is equal parts fun and functional. A creamy hummus base topped with crisp veggies, tangy feta, and a Greek yogurt spiderweb makes it a crowd‑pleaser.
In TCM, chickpeas (the base of hummus) help strengthen Spleen Qi and support digestion, while fresh veggies add balance and grounding energy—ideal for keeping your body steady through seasonal transitions.
Halloween Hummus Dip
INGREDIENTS
2 (10 oz) containers hummus (or 2–3 cups homemade)
3 cups finely chopped romaine lettuce
2 cups diced tomato
1 cup finely diced bell pepper
1 cup chopped cucumber (peeled/seeded)
¼ cup sliced black olives (optional)
¼ cup Greek yogurt (or tzatziki)
½–1 cup crumbled feta cheese
¼ cup chopped green onion
Dippers: carrot sticks, celery sticks, sliced bell pepper, cucumber, pita wedges, or pita chips.
*Feel free to adjust spices to fit your tastebuds
INSTRUCTIONS
Base: Spread hummus in a thin, even layer on a large serving platter.
Spiderweb: Spoon Greek yogurt into a piping bag (or plastic bag with tip cut). Pipe a spiderweb design: start with intersecting lines, then connect them with curved lines to form the web.
Veggie Layers: Surround the hummus with chopped romaine, then layer tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and olives.
Finish: Sprinkle feta and green onion around the edges.
Spooky Touch: Add a few plastic spider rings on top for Halloween flair. Or get creative with olive slicing and placement!
Serve: Arrange dippers (pita, veggies) around the platter for easy grabbing.
