It’s cooling, protein-rich, and digestion-friendly, making it a great choice for hot weather gatherings and backyard celebrations.


Smashed Avocado & Chickpea Dip

INGREDIENTS

  1. Avocado – Nourishes Yin, moistens dryness, and cools internal heat.

  2. Chickpeas – Strengthen the Spleen and support digestion and energy.

  3. Roma tomatoes – Clear heat and support fluid balance.

  4. Scallions – Gently warm and help move stagnant Qi.

  5. Cilantro – Clears heat and supports detoxification.

  6. Garlic – Warms and moves Qi, supports digestion.

  7. Jalapeño (optional) – Adds heat; use sparingly in hot weather.

  8. Lime juice – Cools and moves stagnant Liver Qi.

  9. Sea salt & white pepper – Enhance flavor and support digestion.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. 1️⃣ Mash the Base – In a bowl, coarsely mash 1 can of chickpeas and 1 ripe avocado with a fork or potato masher. Leave it chunky for texture.

  2. 2️⃣ Add the Flavor – Stir in 2 chopped roma tomatoes, 4 diced scallions, ½ cup chopped cilantro, 3–4 minced garlic cloves, 1 finely chopped jalapeño (optional), and ¼ cup lime juice.

  3. 3️⃣ Season & Chill – Add sea salt and white pepper to taste. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
