Smashed Avocado & Chickpea Dip
INGREDIENTS
Avocado โ Nourishes Yin, moistens dryness, and cools internal heat.
Chickpeas โ Strengthen the Spleen and support digestion and energy.
Roma tomatoes โ Clear heat and support fluid balance.
Scallions โ Gently warm and help move stagnant Qi.
Cilantro โ Clears heat and supports detoxification.
Garlic โ Warms and moves Qi, supports digestion.
Jalapeรฑo (optional) โ Adds heat; use sparingly in hot weather.
Lime juice โ Cools and moves stagnant Liver Qi.
Sea salt & white pepper โ Enhance flavor and support digestion.
INSTRUCTIONS
1๏ธโฃ Mash the Base โ In a bowl, coarsely mash 1 can of chickpeas and 1 ripe avocado with a fork or potato masher. Leave it chunky for texture.
2๏ธโฃ Add the Flavor โ Stir in 2 chopped roma tomatoes, 4 diced scallions, ยฝ cup chopped cilantro, 3โ4 minced garlic cloves, 1 finely chopped jalapeรฑo (optional), and ยผ cup lime juice.
